Logi Vision from Logi Analytics: The intelligent perspective for Data Visualization

Posted by: Vishal Adsool

The upcoming Logi Analytics User Conference (#LOGI2016) has already garnered immense attention amongst professionals. And it goes without saying, Logi Analytics needs no introduction when it comes to creating analytics everyone can use and understand. It’s no wonder they already have a strong foothold in the ‘relevant’ customer base.

Logi Analytics does the tremendous task of making complex data appear visually-appealing and meaningful. Users can quickly choose relevant data and opt for an engaging and interactive analysis through visual discovery.

One of their immensely popular software tool named ‘Logi Vision’ has been a forerunner in attracting Data and Business Analysts simply for its ease of use. This tool enables professionals to analyse data as and when required and rediscover their data to gain insights in minutes. As they rightfully advertise, this tool is undoubtedly a "Self Service Visual Analytics" tool.

Analysts feel empowered through Logi Vision as getting, setting and analysing data is a breeze. This is particularly applicable if you need to create, analyse and visualise data without working around complex script files and next-to-impossible configurations. So, it does not matter if you are running a traditional ‘push rod’ database architecture through any of the legacy systems or even a simple RDBMS or a NO SQL.

Logi Vision is known as the first analytics application that is specifically designed for collaboration between various work groups. As easy as that sounds, the tool not only empowers you to automatically identify data types, concatenate relevant fields as a single object but it also suggests visualisations based on the contours of data. Now, this is as easy as instructing someone to, “Just add water and boil!”

Using Logi Vision at Equations Work

We had the opportunity to implement Logi Vision for a client from the healthcare industry. And we certainly have to add, “Our experience was fantastic.”

The Scenario:

The client at Equations Work had the data stored partially on a SQL server. Some portions of it were distributed over a series of spreadsheets which were hosted over Google Drive. It was but natural that practitioners from various locations required to access and update it. With Logi Vision, the entire process was easy!

We could connect to the data source through a pre-built connector. And, we witnessed the magic of this tool post a successful connection. Discovering data and visualising the same happened at a faster pace. As mentioned by the company, the recommendation engine uses algorithms based on the best industry practices. These automatically suggest best-fit visualisations for the underlying data. Logi Vision helps to iterate multiple visualisations and garner better insights that uncover key patterns and trends.

The end result? Well, perfection personified.

And, there’s more…

We certainly cannot miss mentioning the unique Social Collaboration ability of Logi Vision. Users the world over can annotate the insights using the options of Tags, Notes, and ratings with much ease. Information can be shared with just a click and users can easily follow other users and data that interest them. A dashboard view of the data makes exploring data effortless using Logi Vision.

Powerful data turns easy and precise with this collaborative tool.

Logi Vision is currently in its 1.5 version.

Equations Work will be present at the Logi Analytics User Conference to be held at Washington DC from October 12-13, 2016. Feel free to connect with us and solve your queries about the possibilities of using Logi Vision to connect into your systems.
